Fundraisers

fundraising

Rotarians are adept at raising funds for projects we consider essential. Our major fundraisers, in addition to asking our members for donations, include:

Oktoberfest

We are bringing back a tradition….celebrating our German roots!  Oktoberfest will take place on Saturday, October 12th, 2013 on York Street from 9th to 10th.  Click Here for more Information!

Fruit, Seafood, & Wine Sale

Each fall our members commit to raising $250 through the sale of quality fruit, seafood, and wine, or to writing a check for $150. This is our primary fundraiser of the year, and goes to provide donation dollars to requests from area nonprofit organizations as well as going to our Foundation to prudently invest the money to provide major donations every few years.

Pancake Breakfast

A tradition in the making, our annual Rotary Pancake Breakfast serves up fresh, delicious pancakes to the public. This is a free-will offering, and the community steps up, donating generously. The next Pancake Breakfast is set for Saturday, March 2, 2013 on the campus of Quincy University. Hours are 7am to 11am.

‘Rita in the Park

Combing a time of fellowship in the natural beauty of one of the many parks that make life in Quincy so enjoyable with the opportunity to contribute to the meal and raise money, ‘Rita in the Park is a member favorite. These are evening events with a casual, relaxed atmosphere. Using our slushie machine we concoct tasty frozen Margaritas and grill ribeyes, chicken, and brats over an open fire.

Our Members

One of the largest sources of funds for the many projects Rotary carries out is the generosity of our members. There are ample opportunities to donate (time, talent, or money) throughout the year, and our members always come through.
